Gum Benzoin Sumatra is a balsamic resin, obtained from Styrax tree species. The color varies from greyish brown to brownish or orangish yellow. Sumatra Benzoin fine quality has a strong storax-like odour, quite distinct from the vanilla odour of the Siamese variety, since it contains cinnamic acid.
Usage :
Gum Benzoin is used in the industry of incense, perfumery, pharmacy, cosmetics, foods and cigarette.
